Delores Williamston, bishop of the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, is formally installed during a ceremony at the Lawless Memorial Chapel at Dillard University in New Orleans Saturday, March 4, 2023. Williamston, a native of Kansas and retiree from the Kansas Army National Guard, is the first African-American to lead the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church.
