Free laundry services — and useful advice — will be available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Robin Street Laundromat in Baton Rouge.
Wash. Dry. Screen. will offer health screenings, resources, food and activities for underserved members and nonmembers of the North Baton Rouge community.
Organized by Southeast Community Health Systems and Aetna Better Health of Louisiana, the event aims to engage community members on issues including education access, health advocacy and economic stability while they wait for their laundry to wash and dry.
“The goal is to impact the environment and well-being of our community by offering access to resources and equitable care,” Marketing and Community Development Analyst Taressia Ben said. “Our community needs resources and services that many take for granted daily.”
The Robin St. Laundromat is located at 1595 Robin St., in Baton Rouge. Registration for the family-friendly event can be found at WashDryScreen.eventbrite.com.
