22-year-old arrested for reckless driving in Assumption Parish

LABADIEVILLE, La (BRPROUD) — A 22-year-old man was arrested after recklessly driving in Assumption Parish on July 21.

Deputies with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to Delise Road regarding a reckless driver. According to arrest documents, deputies located the suspected vehicle near Napoleonville and identified the driver as 22-year-old Trey Allen Duet.

After officials talked with Duet, the K-9 unit conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and found evidence of controlled dangeorus substances. Officers searched the vehicle and seized marijuana.

Duet was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, driving under a suspended driver’s license, and careless operation of a motor vehicle.

Duet remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
