
PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a 37-year-old man on Thursday for his connection to a homicide.
Sheriff Bobby Webre says detectives arrested Jerome Lilly, 37, in relation to a homicide that occurred Wednesday night in Prairieville.
According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night, deputies responded to a shooting at a resdience on Cherry Creek Drive. When officers arrived, they found Tarrence Williams, 40, dead.
After further investigation, detectives found out Lilly fired a gun after an altercation with Williams, Sheriff Webre says.
Jerome Lilly was charged with second degree murder and was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail, APSO says.
