Baker PD: Suspect accused of injuring one after shooting at ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend

BAKER, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baker Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a suspect in a shooting that took place on Tuesday, March 28. The suspect in this shooting is Keldrick Coates.

The shooting took place on Seville Drive and left one person with gunshot wounds. The suspect allegedly shot at his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. Baker PD said the new boyfriend was hit and taken to a local hospital.

Coates faces charges of two counts of attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm and illegal use of weapons.
