Baton Rouge police investigating after shooting hurts girl

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A girl was injured in a Monday shooting, according to Baton Rouge police.

One person was taken to a local hospital in stable condition after a reported shooting, according to EMS. EMS said they responded just before noon on Monday, June 19. The shooting took place on North Acadian Thruway at Fairfields Avenue, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Vehicles belonging to the Baton Rouge Police Department and crime scene tape were observed at the scene. BRPD confirmed that a girl was shot in the leg.
