Four children among those displaced after late night fire in Central

CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) – The Central Fire Department responded to a late night apartment fire on Forest Grove Ave.

Firefighters arrived around 11 p.m. and found flames shooting through the roof.

Members of Engine 313 were able to extinguish the blaze.

CFD says, “Adjacent apartments received smoke and water damage.”

11 people were pushed out of where they live because of this fire.

Red Cross was called in to help the seven adults and four children who were affected by this fire.

The Central Fire Department received help from the Baton Rouge Fire Department, East Side and District Six Fire during this fire.

According to the Central Fire Department, “One firefighter was treated on scene for heat exhaustion and released by EMS.”
