BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Some residents in Baton Rouge may be waking up to blinking clocks in their home.

That is because power lines are down near the Albertson’s at the corner of South Foster Dr. and Government St.

A little more than 1,000 people were without power after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

According to Entergy, power went out around 3 a.m. on Friday, July 15.

Power has been restored for most customers in the area.

There were no reported injuries related to this accident.

South Foster Dr. in front of the Baton Rouge Community College remains closed at this time.

The road will remain closed until the power lines can be picked up by Entergy.
