BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Fans who stayed in Baton Rouge for game three of the 2023 Men’s College World Series united at Walk On’s on Burbank to show their support for the LSU baseball team.
The energy was at an all-time high inside the restaurant as fans cheered on their team. Fans said they didn’t care whether the Tigers won. They said they’re happy with how the team bounced back from yesterday.
“I feel amazing, this has been an amazing ride with the LSU Tigers and a great year to be an LSU fan across the board in all of our sports,” said LSU baseball fan, Helen Frink.
Frink said as a fan it has been a roller coaster, especially during the first game against the Florida Gators, but she didn’t hesitate to continue believing.
“I think there’s a few fans who had a rough go of it yesterday but it’s so true and just really proves the point that if you believe you can accomplish anything. And you can tell they went home last night, believed in themselves, regrouped and came and showed out today. So thank you,” she said.
Just like Frink, Mac Mackenzie, an LSU alum and LSU baseball fan, was at Walk On’s showing his LSU pride. Mackenzie knew the team was going to win the championship but maintained a strong message for the Tigers.
“Baton Rouge is absolutely behind you. I know when they’ll get off that plane on the way back, there’ll be a crowd at the airport just like there’s always been for LSU Sports and no matter what happens they’ll always be Tigers,” he said.
