Man airlifted after early morning car accident in Central

CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) – Early on Friday morning, a man was extricated from a vehicle after an accident in the 18000 block of Greenwell Springs Road, according to the Central Fire Department.

CFD said they responded at 3:17 a.m. and found that “a single vehicle overturned and ejected the driver who was trapped under the car.” It took firefighters 35 minutes to get the man out of the vehicle.

That man was given medical care by EMS and then taken to a local hospital by AirMed. CFD confirmed that the man was in critical condition.
