Man arrested after allegedly trying to put LSU police officer in headlock at Alex Box Stadium

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A man was arrested after allegedly trying to put an LSU police officer into a headlock while being escorted out of Alex Box Stadium on Tuesday night.

According to the LSU Police Department, Payton Coddou was being removed from the baseball stadium’s suites by officers after a verbal fight broke out at around 9:42 p.m. As officers tried to remove him, Coddou allegedly jumped on the back of one of the officers and tried to put them in a headlock. Two other officers pulled Coddou away, according to arrest documents.

Another man, Jeremy Landry, was issued a summons, university officials confirmed.

Coddou was booked into the EBR Parish Prison.
