Memorial service for Baton Rouge teen who went overboard in the Bahamas is Sunday

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A memorial service to celebrate the life of Cameron Robbins, 18, a teenager who went overboard while boating in the Bahamas, has been announced.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 4 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Drive.

Robbins went missing in the Bahamas after he went overboard on Wednesday, May 24. Robbins, a recent U-High graduate, was with other students from different schools on a trip to Atlantis.

Aircrews from the U.S. and the Bahamas searched the area near where the teen went missing. The U.S. Coast Guard reported searching more than 325 square miles and announced that the search for the Baton Rouge teen was called off Saturday, May 27.
