One man killed after shooting in White Castle, one suspect in custody

WHITE CASTLE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday, Nov. 21.

According to Sheriff Brett Stassi, around noon, deputies responded to a shooting on Maggio Street in White Castle.

The shooting reportedly stemmed from an argument between two males. The sheriff’s office has one suspect in custody.

Stassi reports the victim died of his injuries.

The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted the White Castle Police Department during this investigation.

This is an ongoing investigation. More details will be released as they becomes available.
