BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The parents of a woman found dead on a couch in their Slaughter home have been indicted again after getting their charges thrown out by a judge.
BRProud’s Ariel Salk reported that East Feliciana Parish District Attorney Sam D’Aquilla confirmed that Clay and Sheila Fletcher were indicted on second-degree murder charges and will be arrested again.
Lacey Fletcher, 36, was found dead on Monday, January 3, 2022, after Slaughter police officers were called about an unresponsive person on Tom Drive. Authorities said her body was sitting in feces and urine.
Clay and Sheila Fletcher were previously indicted on those same charges but a judge threw them out after a disagreement with the indictment’s wording.
