BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Looking for an outdoor swamp adventure with your furry friend?
Pet owners can bring their animal friends to the BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center on Saturday, June 17 for Dog Day at the Swamp. The nature center removes its “no pets policy” only four days out of the year. All pets are welcome but must be on a leash and have up-to-date vaccinations. The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.
Local rescues and pet-friendly organizations will be onsite and can even make a toy for your family pet.
The BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center is located at 10503 N. Oak Hills Parkway.
General admission prices for children ages two and under are free, kids ages 3 to 17 are $2, adults ages 18-64 are $3, and ages 65 and older are $2.50.
