Renovated park to open in Gonzales with new playground

GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) – The Ascension Parish community is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting to celebrate a newly renovated playground.

The Ascension Parish Recreation Department will officially open Youth Legacy Duplessis Park at 10 a.m. on June 24 to unveil new state-of-the-art facilities. The additions were designed to provide an inclusive, safe, engaging play area with a challenging course for all ages.

“These outdoor spaces are important for providing our children with a place to maintain physical health, engage with others, and also for families to create lasting memories,” Ascension Parish President Clint Cointment said in a news release.

The park is located at 38103 Hwy 621 in Gonzales.
