BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The second annual Kid Fest is honoring, educating, and inspiring the children of the community with a family-friendly pre-Juneteenth celebration.
Community Against Drugs and Violence (CADAV), in partnership with EnrollBR, is hosting this event at Scotlandville Parkway at Badley Road + Veterans on June 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p. m.
This year’s theme is “Kids, Education, Healthy Living & Entrepreneurship.” Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and will feature a trail walk/run to commemorate the fight against childhood obesity. This event will also host speakers, vendors, and food with ‘kidprenerus’ showcasing their products and services, according to event organizers.
Organizers said entertainment for children includes dance, music, face painting, inflatables, Health Screenings, Fire Safety & Prevention, EBR Library Bookmobile, Church Choirs, and kickball.
