Seven arrested, guns and drugs seized in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Seven people were arrested including four juveniles after detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department were called to a location in the 1100 block of Rodin Drive on Friday, June 2. BRPD said detectives checked into “a report of suspects in the courtyard with guns.”

Upon arrival, detectives found several people, some of which who were wearing ski masks. Along with the four juveniles, three adults were arrested by law enforcement. Cortez Hill, 19, Cherrish Raby, 19 and Antoine Parker Jr., 21, were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Saturday, June 3 and given the same bond amount.

The charges for each suspect are listed below:

Cortez Hill:

  • illegal possession of stolen firearms
  • illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of person under seventeen years of age
  • contributing to the delinquency of juveniles
  • possession of drug paraphernalia
  • handling of machine guns
  • possession with intent to distribute schedule I
  • possession with intent to distribute schedule II
  • possession with intent to distribute schedule IV

Cherrish Raby:

  • illegal possession of stolen firearms
  • contributing to the delinquency of juveniles
  • handling of machine guns

Antoine Parker Jr.:

  • illegal possession of stolen firearms
  • contributing to the delinquency of juveniles
  • handling of machine guns
  • possession of marijuana

The Baton Rouge Police Department seized these items during the investigation:

  • Glock 22 .40 caliber
  • Luger CZ P09 9mm (reported stolen)
  • AM-15 Multi Cal (reported stolen)
  • Glock 19x 9mm (reported stolen)
  • 5 baggies of suspected marijuana
  • a marijuana blunt
  • 2 digital scales
  • 3 boxes of sandwich baggies
  • 3 magazines
  • several loose rounds of ammunition
  • one broken switch used to convert a pistol into a fully automatic weapon
  • crack cocaine
  • D/U Alprazolam
  • $435.00 in US currency

At the time this story was published, Hill, Raby and Parker all remain behind bars.
