Southern University Founders’ Month: See the list of events, celebrations

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Southern University will be celebrating its 144th anniversary throughout March with a list of events and celebrations.

During “Southern University Founders’ Month” in March, students will be honored for their academic accomplishments at the Founders’ Day Convocation and there will be a list of activities happening throughout the month.

One of the featured events is the annual Founders’ Day Convocation that will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 10 a.m. in the F.G. Clark Activity Center. According to a release, Dr. Russell J. Ledet will be giving the convocation address.

This year’s theme is “Honoring our Legacy — Living our Mission.”
