Golf cart crashes through dining hall windows at Southern

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Southern University School of Nursing was recognized as the 2023 Nursing School of the Year, Graduate Degree Program.

The award was handed out by the Louisiana Nurses Foundation at the annual Nightingale Awards Gala on Saturday, Sept. 16.

According to a release from Southern, the award is given out to those offering formal education for registered nurses looking to obtain a graduate degree for advanced clinical practice roles.

The School of Nursing at Southern University offers four degrees including Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and a newly launched 100% online RN to BSN program.
