Teen arrested in connection with deadly shooting in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department has made an arrest in connection to a shooting that killed an 18-year-old on May 31.

Lenni Douglas, 18, was shot and killed in the 4100 block of Prescott Court while trying to break up a fight between an ex-boyfriend and a new boyfriend of a shooting victim, police said. Two others were injured in the shooting.

According to the police, a 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and criminal damage to property.

The teen shooting suspect was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.
