Tree trimmer rescued after cut by chainsaw, stuck 40 feet up tree

CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) – A tree trimmer was rescued after they got stuck 40 feet up a tree on Greenwell Springs Road Friday.

The Central Fire Department said the tree trimmer was unable to move due to a cut in the leg by a chainsaw. East Side Fire Department responded with a ladder truck and the St. George Fire Department had a rope team on the way.

The fire department said the ladder truck was able to rescue the tree trimmer and they were lowered to the ground where emergency services were waiting. The tree trimmer was taken to the hospital via Acadian Air Med.
