Today: Showers and thunderstorms return this afternoon into the early evening. Coverage will be high at about a 70% coverage. There will be a marginal risk for flash flooding in some of the heaviest downpours today. Highs should be right around 90 degrees, which is a few degrees below average. This is because of today’s rain coverage, which will bring temperatures into the mid-low 80s. Lows tonight should dip into the mid-90s with mostly clear skies.
Wednesday-Friday: Rain coverage will remain high each afternoon and evening this week. Numerous to widespread rain is expected each day limiting high temperatures right around 90 degrees and elevating a marginal risk for flash flooding on some days.
This Weekend: Rain chances remain this weekend, but become more scattered in coverage with highs in the low-mid 90s.
Tracking the Tropics: No tropical development is expected in the next 5 days. However, we need to watch the tropics closely in the coming weeks. The next 2 months mark the most active periods for hurricane season.
