BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that took place on Townsley Street near Scenic Highway.
Joseph Prohet, 48, and Robin Hayes, 52, were shot at around 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27. Baton Rouge police said Prohet was had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene while Hayes died later at a local hospital.
BRPD said the motive and suspect in this deadly shooting are unknown at this time.
The investigation into this shooting remains ongoing and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
