Wing cooking competition headed to Donaldsonville

DONALDSONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — Love chicken wings? Visit the Donaldsonville Wing Fest this weekend.

The Wing Fest is hosted by the Donaldsonville Area Chamber of Commerce. The festival is a cooking competition of fried and BBQ wings that is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 3.

The competition is divided into three departments: fried, BBQ, and “Too Hot to Handle.”

Set-up is from 10 a.m. to noon. The competition begins at 1 p.m. The festival will also feature live music from swamp pop singer, Don Rich and the Don Rich band.
