ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – A bike was taken from someone named Abigail on Tuesday morning.
The Zachary Police Department responded to the reported theft and was able to look over some home surveillance footage.
ZPD says the footage “showed an apparent juvenile suspect stealing the periwinkle blue bicycle in broad daylight.”
Abigail went ahead and put together a poster which showed her missing bicycle named Silver. Sgt. Nichols and Ofc. M. Travis with the Zachary PD set out to find the missing bike.
Silver was located soon after the search began and returned to its rightful owner.
Zachary PD has this request for their community, “parents, if your child has property in their possession that you do not recognize, ask questions. If you determine that this property does not belong to them, ZPD may be able to help locate the rightful owner.”
