3 suspects arrested in fatal shooting near Fairfields Avenue

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — On Wednesday evening, the Baton Rouge Police Department arrested three suspects in a fatal shooting dating back to Monday, April 3.

According to BRPD, the shooting took place in the 2000 block of Harrelson Street, claiming the life of 23-year-old Antonio Johnson.

Baton Rouge homicide detectives and the United States Marshals Task Force arrested Mark Shorter, 25, Javan Shorter, 22, and Terry Barnes, 21, for their involvement in the shooting.

All three arrestees were booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with first-degree murder.
