Boil advisory issued for water customers in parts of Denham Springs

DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) – A water boil advisory has been issued for parts of Denham Springs.

Ward Two Water is making repairs to a water main on Highway 16 north of Watson. Officials said the water pressure will fall below the minimum standard set by the Louisiana Department of Health.

Ward Two Water said that the water supply system may have questionable quality due to the repairs and asked that residents boil water for one minute in a clean container.

The water boil advisory will be lifted by the water company when the Office of Public Health’s State Regional Laboratory determines the water to be safe.
