St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Drive, will present a community showing of “The Letter: A Message for our Earth.” The two showings will be at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29.
The documentary features main characters including an Amazon rainforest tribe chief, a climate refugee from Senegal, husband and wife scientists studying dying coral reefs and a young climate activist from India. The movie shows the negative effects of climate change on the environment and inspires people worldwide to make changes as individuals, families, communities and politicians that will solve environmental problems.
Everyone is invited to one of the showings which will be held in the church sanctuary.

St. Agnes Church hosts Lenten Reflection on the Mass
St. Agnes Church, located at 749 East Blvd. in Baton Rouge, will host its Lenten Reflection at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at 6:15 p.m. The Most Rev. Joseph E. Strickland, Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Tyler, Texas, will present “The Mass is Our Life.” The Sacrament of Confession will available at 5 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Chaplet, followed by mass at 5:30 p.m. (The Lenten Reflection immediately follows at 6:15 p.m.) All are invited to attend. Taking steps in loss and life: A grief support group
St. John’s United Methodist invites those experiencing grief to meet with others to share their experience. This is an 8-week program from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., beginning on Tuesday, March 21, in the Church Parlor at 230 Renee Drive, Baton Rouge. Dee Mather-Muenzler, a certified grief educator, will be facilitating the program. Dee received her certification from David Kessler, one of the world’s foremost experts on loss and the founder of www.grief.com. St. Charles presents alter
St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Road, invites everyone to its altar presented by the church’s St. Joseph Altar Society at 9 a.m. March 18 and 8:30 a.m. March 19 in the Borromeo room.
