St. Patrick’s Day is almost here, which means the Wearin’ of the Green parade is right around the corner. Baton Rouge businesses will be rolling out food, drink and entertainment specials to celebrate the holiday, with many happening during or after the parade. Those planning their parade day festivities will, perhaps, consider a few of the establishments below?

Breakfast at La Divina 

Start your Wearin’ of the Green Parade day with breakfast at La Divina from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at 3535 Perkins Road, plus park for free on the parade route. Advanced tickets are required. For $25, revelers get a reserved seat for breakfast, a wristband for access to the facilities throughout the day and more. Breakfast choices include biscotto, eggs and bacon and Italian grits. The Wearin’ of the Green Parade is expected to pass by La Divina about noon.

St. Patty’s Day Disco at The Radio Bar 

The Radio Bar will be serving Disco Lizard and Glitter Bomb shots for its St. Patty’s Day Disco from 9 p.m. to closing Friday, March 17, at 3079 Government St. It will also host a best dressed contest with Time Warp for a chance to win prizes.

Beauvoir Park’s St. Patrick’s Day throwdown

Make your way to Beauvoir Park after the Wearin’ of the Green parade, Saturday, March 18, at 2834 Greenwood Drive for live music from The Southside Roosters and Levee Road Revue. Doors open at 11 a.m., and music starts about noon. This is a family-friendly, dog-friendly and BYOB event. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Parade party at Ivar’s Sports Bar and Grill 

Though the doors at Ivar’s usually open at 11 a.m. on a Saturday, they’ll be open three hours in advance March 18 for their Wearin’ of the Green parade party at 2954 Perkins Road.

Ivar’s will serve 1,000 free jello shots, and live music will start at 1 p.m. The music lineup includes Geaux DJ, Jump School, Bad Habit and Pants Party.

Drink specials at George’s Place

George’s Place will offer $7 Irish car bomb cocktails and $5 Guinness beers Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18. In preparation for the Wearin’ of the Green parade, the bar will open at noon March 18.

Irish stew at The Smiling Dog 

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, The Smiling Dog will be serving food and drink specials from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, March 17 at 4215 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. in Baton Rouge.

Food items include cornbeef and cabbage and Irish stew. Drink specials include half off Guinness beer, $6 Irish car bomb cocktails and $4 Jameson drinks.

Earlapalooza at Uncle Earl’s Bar 

The Ying Yang Twins and Parish County Line will be performing at Uncle Earl’s Bar on Saturday, March 18, at 3753 Perkins Road. Headliners are yet to be announced.
