A man is dead after he was shot at an apartment complex in Baker Monday morning, police said.
Chief Carl Dunn said authorities were dispatched to the home in the 3100 block of Singletary Drive around 10:30 a.m. He was unable to immediately provide any additional details about the victim or what may have led to the shooting.
Dunn said detectives have spoken with a suspect but no one is in custody at this time. Neither the victim nor the suspected gunman is a Baker resident, he said.
The killing is the first homicide to take place in Baker this year.
