Speakers are coming together at the Louisiana State Capitol for what they are calling, “We Have a Vision: Louisiana Reproductive Justice Day at the Capitol.”

The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and some of the speakers who are scheduled to attend include those listed below:

  • Kaitlin Joshua
  • Deon Haywood of Women with a Vision
  • Ashley Shelton of Power Coalition for Equity and Justice
  • Ebony M. Baylor of In Our Own Voice: Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda

“It’s never been just about abortion. We’re here to demand a world where we are in complete control of our reproduction,” said Women with a Vision Executive Director Deon Haywood. “In order to have true reproductive justice we need sex education, affordable contraception, living wages so that folks can raise children free from the horrors of poverty, and so much more.”
