BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A recent investigation ended with the arrests of a brother and sister by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. Reginald Banks, 30 and Michelle Banks, 49, were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on drug and gun charges.
According to the sheriff’s office, Reginald might have been the person who supplied the drugs tied to a deadly overdose in December which was investigated by Baton Rouge police.
EBRSO said that during the course of the investigation, agents paid for and received fentanyl from Reginald on three different occasions. Reginald and Michelle were both taken into custody on Tuesday, April 4.
Two homes were searched by agents which led to the discovery of 7.5 ounces of fentanyl, a
Beretta .22 caliber handgun, hydraulic press and a digital scale.

EBRSO K-9, EBRSO Intelligence, CBP/HSI Air support, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and BRPD all played a part in the investigation.
