BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Family Services of Greater Baton Rouge is gearing up to host its 10th annual golf tournament this Friday.
The multi-service agency serves nearly 14,000 people each year. They offer mental health counseling, FREE HIV testing, and domestic violence programs for adults and kids who are victims of abuse.
Event organizers said money raised will go towards expanding their services to children and families in the Capital Region.
“It helps us serve a higher number of people through our programs and services. So no matter if you’re small, nonprofit or if you’re a large nonprofit, fundraising is critical for expansion,” said Rene Taylor, Executive Director at Family Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
The group hopes to have at least 20 teams registered to reach their financial goals. So far, 16 teams have signed up and four individuals are expected to compete.
You can register on-site or online. The tournament starts at 8:00 a.m. You can register as an individual for $125 or as a team for $500.
This event will be held at “The Island” Golf Course in Plaquemine.
