GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) – Authorities say a teenager is in custody and facing accusations of stabbing his uncle in the neck three times on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Gonzales Police Department, the suspect is 16 and his injured uncle is 40. The police department said the incident occurred in the 1700 block of West Highway 30 at 5 p.m. after the teen got angry because his mother couldn’t take him somewhere.
Authorities said the boy’s uncle was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
The teen is in custody and the incident remains under investigation, according to the police department.
