Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office worker resigns after DWI arrest

LIVINGSTON, La. (BRPROUD) – Kimberly Waters, 55, of Denham Springs was stopped by a member of the Louisiana State Police on Sunday, March 5.

LSP said Waters, an employee of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, was stopped by a trooper around 2:20 a.m. on Hwy 447.

The sheriff’s office confirmed Waters worked in a clerical position since 2017 and has since resigned.

The investigation led to the Denham Springs woman being taken into custody and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (1st Offense), improper lane usage, simple escape and possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle.

Waters was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center and released on a $26,434 bond.

An investigation remains ongoing.
