BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge partners with LSU Greek Life to dedicate two new homes to people in the community.

Over the last week, nearly 1,000 members of LSU sororities and fraternities worked alongside two partner families to build their future homes.

Each family will purchase the home with an affordable, zero-interest mortgage once construction is complete

“You know just watching everybody working and you know, knowing this is a home that I’ll be moving into soon, I think like I say I thank God for it. And I feel great,” said Patricia Williams, homeowner.

“To step out and have a service opportunity where you’re doing something for someone else is just so amazing to experience,” said Director of Greek Week, Analiese Donovan.

LSU Greek life has sponsored 34 homes in the Capital Region since 2004.
