BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Investigators arrested a man this week who is accused of raping a woman he met at a Tigerland bar in April.
The victim told Baton Rouge detectives she met Andrew Lee, 25, of Baton Rouge at Fred’s in Tigerland on Saturday, April 1 where she had multiple alcoholic drinks. According to an affidavit, she woke up the next morning in his bed without her clothing as he attempted to rape her. She told detectives that she had no memory of getting to his home or what happened.
When she confronted Lee, he told her she was acting crazy, according to police documents.
Police said the victim identified Lee in a six-person photo lineup.
On Monday, Lee decided not to make a statement during an interview with detectives. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with third-degree rape. He was released from prison on Tuesday, May 23 on a $50,000 bond.
