BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) — The final slate of home games at the F.G. Clark Activity Center saw the seniors honored and a pair of wins for Southern basketball over FAMU.
The Lady Jaguars took care of business against the Lady Rattlers in a tight contest. Senior Raven White’s layup with just over four minutes to play in the game put SU up 59-57, and the Lady Jaguars never trailed again.
Afterwards, the men tipped off in a close first half, that was just a three-point game when the two teams entered the locker room. Then a hot start to the second half by Southern led to a dominant 58-44 victory. Dre’Shawn Allen led the Jags with 14 points.
