BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – State Sen. Regina Barrow is among those giving young girls the chance to try STEM on Saturday, May 6. Girls in grades 5 through 10 can attend the event which is happening at the Louisiana Technology Park on Florida Boulevard. The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Attendees will have the chance to do science experiments and coding.

“It has been a few years since we were able to host an in-person Girls Gigabytes and Gadgets event, so I am excited to engage with these bright young minds and encourage them to pursue their science and technology goals,” said Barrow.  “Women are underrepresented in STEM fields.  I am proud to have been able to make this event happen with support of the business community and the Louisiana Technology Park.”
