DARROW, La. (BRPROUD) — A juvenile was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting on March 12, according to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Bobby Webre said detectives arrested a 16-year-old in relation to the homicide of Treylon Brown, 15. Deputies responded to a shooting along Highway 22 in Darrow on Sunday. A second juvenile victim was injured in the shooting.
The 16-year-old suspect was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and aggravated criminal damage to property. He was taken to the St. Benard Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
APSO said an investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
