The two right lanes of I-10 East, past South Acadian Thruway, are blocked as cleanup continues after a fire on a 18-wheeler was put out by firefighters, the state Department of Transportation and Development said Monday shortly before 10:30 a.m.

No injuries from the fire have been reported, said a Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesperson.

Congestion has reached La. 1, at Port Allen.

Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesman Curt Monte said that it was possibly an issue with the brakes that started a fire that reached the cab of the truck; firefighters were able to contain the fire to the cab.

This is a developing story.
