Two transported after early morning crash on Old Scenic Highway

ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – A two-vehicle crash took place on Old Scenic Highway Wednesday, March 8, authorities say. An SUV reportedly overturned in a crash that left two people hurt.

The SUV and a grey sedan hit each other around 7:20 a.m. According to the Zachary Police Department, “the SUV was traveling north bound on Old Scenic Hwy., when a grey sedan exited a private drive making a left turn to go south on Old Scenic Hwy.” Apparently, that’s when the crash took place.

The driver of the SUV was thrown from the vehicle. EMS confirmed that one of the drivers was in serious but stable condition and the other driver had minor injuries. Zachary PD could not confirm whether the drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
