BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is highlighting the need for safe driving through work zones during a Monday morning news conference. The press conference is taking place during National Work Zone Awareness Week.
DOTD said the theme of their safety campaign is, “You play a role in the work zone safety. Work with us.” The news conference is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at DOTD Headquarters.

- DOTD Secretary Eric Kalivoda
- Highway Safety Commission Executive Director Lisa Freeman
- Louisiana State Police Representative
- Federal Highway Administration Deputy Division Administrator Raegan Ball
National Work Zone Awareness Week is from April 17 through April 21.
