BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Fresh off of winning the College World Series, the LSU baseball team will work a shift at the Raising Cane’s near the university’s campus on Thursday morning.
Coach Jay Johnson and players Paul Skenes, Tommy White, Dylan Crews, Ty Floyd and Tré Morgan will be there to serve hot, fried chicken at the drive-thru.
Fans can see the team from 10-11 a.m. at Raising Cane’s on Highland Road near LSU on Thursday, June 29.
Raising Cane’s CEO Todd Graves lent a helping hand to Tiger baseball fans in Omaha, Nebraska, buying 6,000 jello shots so LSU could beat the College World Series jello shot record at Rocco’s Pizza. Baton Rouge-based Attorney Gordon McKernan later bought more than 8,000 jello shots for LSU fans.
The record previously held by Ole Miss was destroyed. The final tally of jello shots bought by LSU fans was 68,888.
