ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – A seventh-grader at Northwestern Middle School was arrested after allegedly posting threats on social media, according to Chief Darryl Lawrence, of the Zachary Police Department.

Chief Lawrence said the minor was charged with terrorizing.

Zachary Police Department said they were made aware of the alleged threats around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, and an arrest was made within two hours.

The Zachary Community School District confirmed that “the school did notify all parents.” This was done prior to when the “school began accepting students,” according to the Zachary Community School District.
