LSU football landed another recruit, this time a four-star cornerback in the 2024 class, when Ondre Evans committed Thursday.
Evans is the No. 20 cornerback in the country and No. 252 overall player, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He also considered Tennessee, NC State, Georgia and Alabama.
Evans, a Nashville native, announced his decision on social media days after visiting LSU. He is the 18th member of the 2024 class and the third cornerback, joining four-star Zion Ferguson and three-star Wallace Foster.

As LSU hosts camps and visits throughout the month, it is seeing a surge in commitments. The Tigers added four-star safety Joel Rogers, three-star wide receiver Kylan Billiot and Evans within the last four days.
Cornerback has been a priority in this cycle. After LSU overhauled the position with transfers for the second straight season, it wanted to add more high school recruits so it can build a sustainable succession plan on future teams.
