BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s basketball team is heading to the Big Dance as a No. 3 seed and facing off against Hawaii in the first round of the NCAA Tournament here in Baton Rouge.

Led by Kim Mulkey, the Tiger’s road to Dallas is going to start in Baton Rouge on Friday and their second game should they win in the first round will be Sunday.

LSU is hosting NCAA play for the second season in a row, joining LSU and Hawaii are Michigan and UNLV.

Tickets will go on sale at LSU’s website on Monday morning around 10am.

Should LSU win and advance from their first and second round games, they will move on to Greenville, South Carolina for Sweet 16 and Elite 8 play.

Greenville is the same place where LSU played in the SEC Tournament.

If they make it past the Elite 8, it’s off to Dallas for the Final Four and maybe LSU’s national title in women’s hoops.
