Deputies identify victim in Baton Rouge gas station shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Police have identified a man killed in a shooting late Friday night at a gas station.

On Sunday, they named Juandell Miller, 33, as the victim. Detectives said they think he was targeted but do not yet know the reason.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office says the victim was found dead at the scene. Shots were fired around 10 p.m. at the Circle K gas station on the corner of Bluebonnet Boulevard and Burbank Drive.

Deputies said witnesses told them that a car pulled up, shot Miller and drove off. They found a gun near the body.
