BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Most celebrate Mother’s Day in a big way, but sometimes Father’s Day gets left behind. One organization is making sure this year is different for fathers.

Father’s Day is this Sunday, that’s why Father’s on a Mission better known as F.O.A.M has planned an event for children to bond with their dads. According to event organizers, Cooking with Dads is free to the public for ages five through 18 but sign-up is required. The event allows dads to bond with their children while learning how to make simple meals like brown rice and Hawaiian chicken kebabs.

It is set to start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17 at 1120 Government Street. Click here to register.
